kESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY
MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO APPROVE
PAYMENT OF INDIGENT HOSPITAL COST
WHEN COST DOES NOT EXCEED $5,000.00
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners considers on a
case by case basis the approval of payment by the Social Services
Department for medical costs for indigentsl and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners approves a budget
for the Social Services Department to cover these costs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the County
Manager, or his designee, is hereby-authorized to approve payment
of medical costs for indigents without having the Board of County
Commissioners review each case separately. However, in the event
that the medical cost exceeds Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00),
then such case shall be brought before the Board of County
Commissioners for approval.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and roll call
vote as follows:
