WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 81-42 regulates the
issuance, fees and penalties associated with Occupational
Licenses within Collier County; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, desires to maintain equitable and current
regulations for all Collier County businesses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION ONE. Section 38 of Ordinance No. 81-42 Amended.
Section 38 of Collier County Ordinance No. 81-42 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 38. PROFESSIONS, BUSINESSES, OCCUPATIONS
(1) Evory person engaged in tho practico of any profession,
who offers his service either directly or indirectly to
the public for a consideration, whether or not such
endeavor be regulated by law, shall pay a license tax
of thirty dollars ($30.00) for the privilege of
practicing, which license shall not relieve the person
paying same from the payment of any license tax imposed
on any business o~erated by him.
(2} Every person engaged in a profession, business, or
occupation regulated by law where licensing and
qualification standards are required shall display and
exhibit to the tax collector the license for the
current year prior to the tsz collector issuing an
occupational license pursuant to this Chapter.
(3) An occupational licenso shall not be required where a
person, although licensed by law under a regulatory
statute, is prohibited from engaging in a profession,
business or occupation unless under the direct
supervision of another person, individual or
corporation.

{4) Every ~nd~v~dua~ perso_qn or group of knd~¥~dua½s persons
who operates a branch office or any professional
corporation which operates an office in which a
profession is practiced, shall license each office in
which the business, 9ccupation, or profession is
practiced. Euery bank shall pay a license tax of one
hundred dollars ($100.00) for each central office and
each branch office.
SECTION TWO. FEE INCREASE EFFECTIVE DATE
The establishment of the fees for banks shall be collected
by the Tax Collector upon the issuance of new occuoational
licenses beginning on September 1, 1989 and for all annual
renewals thereafter.
SECTION THREE. CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY
In the event this Ordinance conflicts with any other
ordinance of Collier County or other applicable law, the more
restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent Jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION FOUR. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
frcm the Secretary of State that this Ordinance has been file~
with the Secretary of State.
