A RESOlUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF DEEDS AND AGREEMENTS fOR DEED TO RIGHT Of INTERMENT
FOR THE lAKE TRAFFORD MOOtIAL GARDENS CEMETERY, BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD FOR
THE CURROO CHAIRMAN'S TENURE ONLY.
WHEREAS, on Decelber 15, 1964, Collier County acquired the twenty (20) acre
site by Warranty Deed, recorded in the Public Records of Collier County in O.R.
Book 180, Page 773, fr~ the Turner Lu.ber Co.pany for use as a public
'celetery known as the Lake Trafford "'-or1al Gardens Celftery; and
WHEREAS, on July 27, 1982, the Board of County Coa.issioners adopted
Resolut'on 82-105 governing the rights of inter.ent, ac.inistration. maintenance
and develoJ)Mnt of the lake Trafford Meaorhl Gardens CeMtery, said policy
including the dtsposition of indigent deceased; and
WHEREAS, on Septelber 22, 1987, the Board of County Coaa1ss1oners adopted
Resolution 87-224 revising the Resolution regarding the operation of the
ce.tery; and
WHEREAS, on April 17, 1990, the Board of County Coa.tssioners adopted
Resolution 90-214 reserving a section in the Veterans Section for the purpose of
. ..-orial within said section; and
WHEREAS, on"'y 1, 1990, the Board adopted Resolution 90-242 defining the
,.l.s and regulations which gov.rn the ~1nistration and develoJ)Mnt of the
ce.tery; and
WHEREAS, there ts a benefit to the County and to the public if the
ldIIintstrattve procedures concerning Deeds and Agrlellnts for Deed to Right of
Intenlent for the Lake Trafford "'-orial Gardens Celftery are expedited, while
lIIintaining the safeguards of staff and legal couns.l review of such documents;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Co.tssioners r,c09nizes the benefit of
reducing ti.. for Board approval on reviewed and approved Deeds and Agre"ements
for Deed to Right of Int.~t.
101, THEREfORE BE IT RESOlVID BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY ,,",ISSIONERS, COLLIER
COI.mY, FLORIDA that:
1. Th. Board of County to.tssioners clots h.reby authorize the Chainun of the
Board of County to.isstoners to .xecute Deeds and Agre...nts for Deed for Right
to Inter.ent for the Lake Trafford "'-orial Gardens C...t.ry, resulting from
Resolution 90-242 dated "'y 1, 1990, and the County's ac.inistration of that
R;esolution, whereupon the Deeds and AgreeMnts for Deed to Right of Interment
have been previously reviewed and approved by the Real Prop.rty Management
Dtpart.ent and the County Attorney's Office.
2. Th. authorization of the Chai~n to execute the Deeds and Agreements for
Deed to Right of Inter.ent for the lake Trafford HeIortal Gardens Cemetery
hereunder shall extend solely for the tenure of the current Chainun.
