A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CHAIRMAN OF THE COLLIER COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS BETWEEN
COLLIER COUNTY AND LANDLORDS
WHO RECEIVE RENT SUBSIDIES
FROM THE COLLIER COUNTY
SECTION 8 HOUSING PROGRAM
.
WHEREAS, Collier County, Florida has entered into three
(3) Annual Contributions Contracts (ACC) with the United
States Department of Housing and Urban Development in
accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program;
and,
WHEREAS, said Contracts are beneficial to the County in
that they provide rental assistance to very low income
residents of Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, the Annual Contributions Contracts for Section 8
Assistance that require Housing Assistance Payments Contracts
with each landlord are identified as follows:

WHEREAS, authorization from the Collier County Board of
County Commissioners to the current County Board Chairman to
execute each Housing Assistance Payments Contract will
provide for administrative efficiency and will facilitate
timely payments to landlords participating in the Section 8
Housing Assistance Payments Program; and,
WHEREAS, two of the Annual Contributions contracts for the
Section 8 program require new Housing Assistance Payments
Contracts to be executed or amended at least once per year
and at any time a vacancy should occur in either program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
1. The Board of County Commissioners does hereby
authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners
to execute Housing Assistance Payments Contracts with the
landlords for all Contracts to be administered under the Ace,
as identified above, after said Contracts have been approved
for form and legal sufficiency by the Collier County
Attorney's Office.
2. The authorization of the Chairman to execute Housing
Assistance Payments Contracts hereunder shall extend solely
for the tenure of the current Chairman named below.
