ORDINANCE (NO. 86-91) TO REFLECT AND AUTNORIZE THE

NO. 88-59, AS AMENDED~ PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF
ORDINANCE NO. 88-59~ AS AMENDED, TO REFLECT THAT THE
.' MARCO ISLAND BEACH RENOURISMMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE IS
THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE WITH THE DUTIES AND RESPONSI-
BILITIES PROVIDED UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 88-59, AS
· ' AMENDED; PROVIDING FOR THE DISSOLUTION AND ABOLISHMENT
OF THE MARCO ISLAND BEACHFRONT RENOURISMMENT ADVISORY
COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR ORDINANCE NO. 89-03 TO BE
SUPERSEDED EXCEPT FOR SECTIONS SEVEN AND EIGHT;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 89-29 AND
RESOLUTION NO. 89-82A; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT AND
' SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (hereinafter
"Board") created the Marco Island Beach Renourishment and Public
'. Access Municipal Service Taxing Unit by the adoption of Collier
County Ordinance No. 86-31 on July 17, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Board adopted Collier County Ordinance No.
· 86-91 on December 23, 1986, creating the Marco Island Beach
Renourishment Advisory Committee, pursuant to Ordinance No.

WHEREAS, the Board created the Marco Island Beachf t ~,; ~--
Renourishment Facilities Municipal Service Taxing Unit
adoption of Collier County Ordinance No. 88-59 on June , 19~
which ordinance was amended by Collier County Ordinance No.
89-61, adopted August 22, 1989; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 88-59, on January 10,
1989, the Board adopted Collier County Ordinance No. 89-03,
creating the Marco Island Beachfront Renourishment Advisory
~3.' Committee, and thereupon adopted Resolution No. 89-29, appointing
members to said committee and Resolution No. 89-82A, establishing
terms of the members of said committee; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 86-91, on August 27,
1991, the Board adopted Resolution No. 91-542, newly appointing
members to the Marco Island Beach Renourishment Advisory
WHEREAS,'the:renourish~e~t..of.ths Marco. Island beach has
essentiall~lbeenaccompliShed'und~r:t~e auspices of the Marco
Island Beac~front.Renourish~ent:Ad¥isory Committee and the Board
of County Co~mission~rs~and~th~s&rpe~sons sitting on said
committee have also been appointed.as, members of the Marco Island
Beach Renour~Shment AdVis°ry-Committee~ and
WHEREAS, it is now ap~ropriats and in the interest of
governmenta~sfficiency t~ provide for the Marco Island Beach
Renourishment'Ad¥is~ry Co~mittee to assume the powers, duties and
responsibilities heretofore of the Marco Island Beachfront
Renourishms~t'Advisory Committee and to dissolve and abolish the
Marco Island Beachfront Ranourishment Advisory Committee and to
do all appropriate legal acts to accomplish same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMHISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that=
