NOW, ~EFORE BE IT O~AINED BY THE BO~D OF CO~TY ~ISSION~S OF CO~I~ CO~Y, F~RIDA tha=: BE~ION O~l ~M~ TO SE~ION 5 OF COLLI~ CO~Y O~I~C~ NO. 88-23~ AS ~E~ED. Section 5 of Collier County Ordinance No. 88-23, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows: SE~ION 5. ALT~ATIVE M~OD OF COLLE~ION. As an alternative method ~o collection by the Clerk as provided ~n s~section (J} of Section 4 of this Ordinance, the Ooard may, e$~er at the public hearing held pursuant to subsection (D) of Section 4 hereof or at such other time as i: deems appropriate, authorize the collection of the Special Assessments in the ~a~er provided for ad valorem taxes. Such alternative me,hod shall be au~orized by resolution of the Board and the County shall comply with all applicable provisions of law relating to such alternative method, ~cluding Section 197.363, Florida Statutes, and any successor provision thereto. In the event such alternative method ia used by the County, the provis~ons hereof shall be superseded ~o the degree of any conflict with applicable law or with any agreement between the County and the Property Appraiser and/or the Tax Collector relating to such alternative method.
