~, nhe S~a~e of Florida has adopted ~he 1991 Edition of
~he S~amdard Gas Code as ~he minimum S=a~e Gas Code.
NOW ~EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY ~E BO~D OF CO~
CO~ISSIO~RS OF COLLIER ~ ~RIDA ~T:
SECTION ONEs
The "Standard Gas Code, 1994 Edition" including Appendixes A
and D as published by the Southern Building Code Congress
International, Inc., as amended herein, is hereby adopted by reference
as the Collier County Gas Code to protecn the health, welfare, safety,
common interest and convenience of ~he citizens, visitors, and
residents of Collier County Florida.
The following text is hereby deleted from Section One of Collier
County OrdinanCe No. 92-70, as amended: "The Standard Gas Code 1991
Edition including Appendix A, and including those subsections of
ASCE-7 specifically referenced herein..." Any other text in
Ordinance No. 92-70, as amended, related to the former Gas Code is
also deleted.
SECTION TWO:
The "Standard Gas Code, 1994 Edition" including Appendixes A
and D is hereby amended by local amendment as follows:
CHAFFER I jMDMINIBTRATION
Chapter 1 of the Gas Code is deleted in its entirety. Refer to
the Collier County Building Construction Administrative Code.
All references to Chapter 1 of the Gas Code shall be
interpreted to mean the Collier County Building Construction
Administrative Code Ordinance.
APPENDIX B~ RECOMMENDED PERMIT FEE SCMEDULE
Delete Appendix B in its entirety. Refer to Collier County Fee
Schedule Resolution No. 93-366, which may be amended from time
to time.
APPENDIX Cs SUGGES~=u ADOPTIN3 ORDINANCE FOR INSTALLATION OF
C0}~217MIRS GAS PIPIN~ AND GAS APPLIANCES.
Delete Appendix C in its entirety.
SECTION THREEs REPEAL OF SECTION FIVE OF ORDINANCE NO. 92-70, AS
Section Five of Collier County Ordinance No. 92-70, as amended,
is hereby repealed in its entirety. Any other text in Ordinance No.
92-70, as amended, relating to the former Gas Code is also deleted.
BE~-iiON FOUR x CONFLICT A/qD B~¥F.~u~BILITY
In the event this Ordinance conflicts with any other ordinance
of Collier County or other applicable law, the more restrictive shall
apply. If any phrase or portion of this ordinance is held invalid or
unconstitutional b~ any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a reparate, distinct, and independent provision and
such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION FIVE z INCLUSION IN THE CODE OF TIlE LAWS AND ORDINANCES
The provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a
part of the Code of Laws and Ordinances of Collier County, Florida.
The sections of the Ordinance may be renumbered or relettered to
accomplish such, and the word "ordinance" may be changed to "section",
"arnicle", or any other appropriate word.
SECTION Sllz EFFECTIVE DATE - DELAYED.
This ordinance shall be forvarded without delaV to the
Secretary of State, but this Ordinance shall not become
effective until 6:00 A.N. on July 1, 1995.
