RESOLUTION NO. 2009- 278
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
APPOINTING PATRICK WHITE TO THE CONTRACTORS'
LICENSING BOARD AS A CONSUMER REPRESENTATIVE -
CITY OF NAPLES RESIDENT AND DECLARING A VACANCY
IN THE CATEGORY OF CONSUMER REPRESENTATIVE ON
THE CONTRACTORS' LICENSING BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 90-105, as amended, which established the
Contractors' Licensing Board, provides that thc Board shall be composed of nine (9) members
appointed by the Board of County Commissioners with three (3) consumer representatives and
with a minimum of two (2) members residing within the corporate city limits of the City of
Naples and/or the City of Marco Island, or recommended to the Board of County Commissioners
by the Naples City Council and/or the City Council of the City of Marco Island; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on this Board in the category consumer
representative - City of Naples resident; and
WHEREAS; on October 21, 2009, the Naples City Council via Resolution No. 09-12547,
recommended Patrick White for appointment to the Collier County Contractors' Licensing Board
as a consumer representative - City of Naples resident for a three-year term commencing
October 21, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Patrick White currently serves on the Contractors' Licensing Board in the
category of consumer representative, said term to expire June 30, 2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
I. Patrick White, representing the category of consumer representative - City of Naples
resident, is hereby appointed to the Contractors' Licensing Board for a three-year term,
said term to expire October 20, 2012.
2. The Board of County Commissioners hereby declares the seat formerly held by Patrick
White in the in the category of consumer representative, said term to expire June 30,
2010, to be vacant on the Contractors' Licensing Board.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote on this the 10th
day of November, 2009.
