RESOLUTION NO. 95-572
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
COMMUNITY ADVISORY COUNCIL TO ACT AS ADVISORY
COUNCIL TO WASTE MANAGEMENT, INC. OF FLORIDA
PURSUAN'f TO THE LANDFILL OPERATION AGREEMENT
DATED FEBRUARY 7, 1995.
WHEREAS, the Landfill Operation Agreement between Collier
County and Waste Management, Inc. ot Florida provides that "[T]he
Contractor st:11l establish a community advisory council through
which the Contractor shall communicate informa1;ion, educate the
communi ty anc develop a cOlt\1"luni ty awareness program related to
activities at the Facilities. .;" and
WHEREAS, the Community Alvisory Council shall be composed of
seven members, six of which shall be appointed by the Board of
County Commissioners or its designee and one c [ which shall be
appointed by the Contractor; and
WHEREAS, the Community Advisory CounciL shall include
community
leadership
involvement,

environmental programs and an Jpen door/open houl3e policy; and
WHEREAS, the Division President and General Manager of
Collier County Recycling anc. Disposal Facility, a division of
Waste Management, Inc. of Florida, has provided ~ list of members
who desire to serve on the Community Advisory COl'"lCil;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS eli' COLLIER COUN':'(, FLORIDA, that:
1. The following memL 'Jrs are hereby anpointed to the
Community Advisory Council:
Bill Arthur, Golden Gate Chamber ot Commerce
Sherri Barnett, a Golden Gate Estates residelt
William CCl.nbs, a Golden G~te resident
Barbara JEnkins, a Golden Gate Estates resident
Linda Marzakawski, Naples Recycling Resources, Inc.
Michael A. Davis, Golden ~ate Estates resident
2. The Board recognizes Stephen H. Bigelo,"', P.E., Division
President and General Manager, Collier County.Recycling and
Disposal Facility, a division of Waste Manayement, Inc. of
Florida, as tt I Contractor's (Waste Management Inc. of Florida)
appointment to the Conununit} Advisory Council, a/k/a "Landfill
Operations Com.unity Council."

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council is a contractual
council which is not governed by the Board ot County Commissioners
under Collier County Ordinance No. 86-41, as amended.
THIS RESOLUTION adopted after motion, second and majority
vote.
