RESOLUTION NO. 95-549
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ROBERT SHULMAN
TO THE COUNCIL OF ECONOMIC ADVISORS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance
No. 94-26 establishing the Collier County Council of Economic
Advisors to provide assistance, advice, reports and recommenda-
tions to the Board of County Commissioners regarding efficient and
effective methods that the Board of County commissioners can use
to increase economic opportunities and increase and diversify the
economic base in Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 94-26 provided that the Council of
Economic Advisors would consist of nine (9) regular members and
three (3) nC'l-voting altern?\tes to be appointed for staggered
terms which would be determ:' ned at; the Counci:' s organizational
meeting; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 35-6 amended Ordin nce No. 94-26 by
increasing the number of vot; I,g members from 9 "0 12 and removing
the non-voting alternate category; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy c '1 the Council of
Economic Advisors; and
WHEREAS, the Board c .' County Commiss 1 oners previously
provided public notice sol~ ':iting application::> from interested
parties; and
WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors has
provided its recommendation to the Board of COUT.:y Commissioners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS ':>F COLLIER cor TY, FLORIDA, that Robert Shulman is
hereby appointed to the Cour 11 of Economic Ad,isors to fill the
remainder of the vacant term, said term expiring August 2, 1997.
This Resolution adopted after motion, se....ond and majority
vote.
