RESOLUTION NO. 95-633
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING KELLY ANTHONY MORRIS TO
THE BLACK AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD AND DECLARING
A VACANCY ON THE BLACK AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-38 creating the
Black Affairs Advisory Board provides that the Advisory Board
shall consist of seven (7) members; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-77 amended Ordinance
No. 91-38 by providing that the Advisory Board shall consist of
nine (9) members; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on the Black Affairs
Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board (. E County Commiss I.oners previously
provided public notice soU::1 ting application J from interested
parties; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has received a
recommendation for appointment from the Black Affairs Advisory
Board; and
WHEREAS, the Black Aft irs Advisory Boar,:' has advised the
Board of County comais.ionert that one member h29 failed to comply
with the req~irements set forth in Ordinance No. 91-38, as
amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, ttlat Kelly Anthony
Morris is hereby appointed t the Black Affairs Advisory Board to
fulfill the romainder of thl vacant term, saie term expiring on
June 25, 1997.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County commissioners
hereby declar€s a vacancy on the Black Affairs ~~dvisory Board and
directs staff to issue a prf: 3S release soliciting resumes in an
effort to fill the vacant pos~tion.
