RESOLUTION NO. 95-478
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
ADMINISTRATOR OR ITS DESIGNEE AS
COLLIER COUNTY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
REGIONAl. HARBOR BOARD FOR THE SOUTHWEST
FLORIDA REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council
established a Regional Harbor Board for the primary purpose of
developing .. regional management plan to effElctively manage the
anchoring o. vessels in Southwest Florida; and
WHEREA:1, an Agreement was established bl tween the Boaters'
Action and Information
.eague, the Flor da Department of
Environmental Protection, t',e Florida Sea Gra It College Program,
the Southwest Florida Regior..ll Planning Council and the West Coast
Inland Navigation District on July 13, 1995, prOClaiming that the
parties shall work together to effectuate the regional management
plan; and
WHEREAS, the Agreemen1 further provides for and encourages
the participation of local overnments; and
WHEP.EAS. the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council
recommends that each affected coastal county alPoint an individual
that serves on a county marine advisory co..imittee or who has
equivalent knowledge to ser'e as a representatlve to the Regional
Harbor Board' and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissionlrs recognizes that
such qualified staff members are located w~thin the County's
Division of r.ommunity Development and Environmc-ntal Services;
NOW, T EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THI; BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER ':OUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Community
Development and Environmertal Services Adm~nistrator, or its
designee, is hereby appointed as Collier Coun:y's representative
to the Regional Harbor Board for the Southwet.t Florida Regional
Planning Cou,cil.
