",I I ':1 i;t \~ ~ l: ,~ ,~>: ~: .;~ WHEREAS, Collier County has recognized and attempted to address the lack of adequate and affordable housing for moderate~ low, and very. low income hous(~holds in the Count-.y and the need for creative and innovative ~'ograms to assist i1 the provision of such housil'; by including several provisions in the Collier County Growth Management Plan, including: object~ve 1.4, policy 1.4.1; objective 1.5, policy ~.5.2, policy 1.5.3. policy 1.5.4, policy 1.5.5, policy 1.5.6; objective 1.6, policy 1.6.3; objective 2.1, policy 2.1.1, policy 2.1.2, policy 2.1.3, policy 2.1.5, and poli.;y 2.1.6 of the Housing Element; a~)d WHEREAS, Collier County h.g received funding pursuant to the 't\ ..~ ,t . ... " :t~ ,',{i :~~ "~ .,;" State Housing Initiatives P'rtnership Program set forth in Section 420.90:' et. sea., Fh,rida Statutes and Chapter 91-37, Florida Administrative Code; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Collier Count~, Ordinance No. 93-19, the County is authorized to use funding from the State Housing Initiat ives Partnerst p [SHIP] Program for waivers of Collier County impact fees; an. WHEREAS, Imrnokalee Habita~ for Humanity, Inc. is seeking a waiver of impa(::t fees; and WHEREAS, II~okalee Habitat for Humanity, Inc. will construct one (1) three-bedroom unit (the "Dwelling Unit") on Lot 8, Highlands Habitat Subdivision, Immokalee which Ls proposed to sell for Forty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollar'l ($46,500.00); and WHEREAS, 'the Dwelling Unit. will be purchased by a very low income househoJj which is required to invest a minimum of five &&\lK fiCO rAr,~ 3'97 .,. ;) hundred (500) hours of "Sweat Equity" before it obtains title to .it the house; and WHEREAS, Mr. Charles C. Smith, Vice President of Immokalee Habi tat for Humanity, Inc., submitted to the Off ice of Housing and Urban Improvement an Affordable Housing Application dated August 23, 1993 for a waiver of impact fees for t:he construction of a house on Lot 8, Highlands Habitat Subdivision, Immokalee, a copy of said application is on file in the Housing and Urban . r . , ,;: ~:t. The Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the County Manager to issue an Authorization for waiver of impact fees to Immokalee Habitat for Humanity, Inc. for one (1) house which shall be constructed on Lot 8, Highlands Habitat Subdivision, Immokalee, Collier Coun ::y, Florida. 2. Upon receipt by the Housing and Urban Development DirE. :tor of an agrl~ement for waiver of impact fees signed by Immokalee Habitat for Humani.y, Inc., and/or the .;>urchaser, or ot Iler documentation a :ceptable to the Count:y Attorney, the Board of Count r Commissioners hereby authorizes th~ payment by Collier County of the following impact fees from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, Fund (191), in the following amo'nts for the one (1) house to be b".ilt on Lot 8, Hi,hlands Habitat SUbdivision, Imrnok;lee by Immokalet!
