RESOLUTION AMENDING THE LOCAL HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PLAN FOR FISCAL YEARS 1995-96, 1996-97,
AND 1997-98 IN ACCORDANCE W1TIi THE FLORIDA STATE
HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP [SHIP] PROGRAM;
SUPERSEDING THAT PORTION OF RESOLUTION 95-284
PER rAINING TO THE APPROVAL OF THE LOCAL HOUSING
AS~{STANCE PLAN; AUTIiORlZING RESUBMISSION OF THE
LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN TO THE FLORIDA
HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL;
AU'HORIZING THE NECESSARY CERTIFICATIONS BY THE
CH-URMAN OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS;
ANi) APPROVING THE EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Florida State Leg,dature enacted the William 2. Sadowski Affordable
Housing Act on Jul, 7, 1992 (the" Act"), See 'ion 420.907, et seq., Florida :tatutes, Chapter 91-37,
Florida Administn:tive Code, as a comprehensive funding package for state and local housing
programs to better enable local governmen'!; to meet their responsibiliti..s for affordable housing
in accordance with their comprehensive plans; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Act, the State will allocate a pOl' ion of new and existing
documentary stamp taxes on deeds to loe ~ governments for developllent and maintenance of
affordable housing; and
WHEREAS. the Board of Count) Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, enacted
Collier County ordinance No. 93-19 on April 13, 1993 establishing t;e Collier County Local
Housing Assistance Program in accordance with the Act; and
,
WHEREAS. through Resolution ~ -284, the Board of County co ommissioners adopted a
three year Local Housing Assistance Plan Of t lining the intended use of SlIP Funds for fiscal years

1995 through 1998; and
WHEREAS the Resolution 95-284 was forwarded to the Florida Housing Finance Agency
for approval; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Housing ~ :inancc Agency has requested certain modifications to
the Housing Assistance Plan as a condition to the County's receipt ofSdIP funding; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of Collier County to qualif," for the SHIP Funds and
all action taken by the County in furtherance of such qualification is for a valid county purpose; and
NOW, TH lREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier

1. The Board of Commissioners hereby amends the Three Year Local Housing
Assistance Plan for fiscal years 1995-96, 199~97. and 1997-98.
2. This resolution supersedes the portion of Resolution 95-284 pertaining to the
approval of the Thn:c Year Local Housing Assistance Plan for fiscal years 1995-96, 1996-97. and
1997-98
3. The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to submit the
Local Housing As!. :stance Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part hereof: to the
State of Florida He 'Jsing Finance Agency fr-r its review and approval.
4. The Chainnan of the Board c,:'County Commissioners is a lthorized to execute the
certifications anne> cd to the Housing Assis' ance Plan on behalf of the C' lunty.
