RESOLUTION NO. 2009-155
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO APPOINT AND REAPPOINT
MEMBERS TO THE COLLIER COUNTY HISPANIC AFFAIRS
ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-37, as amended, which established the
Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board, provides that the Advisory Board shall consist of nine (9)
members; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on this Board, and terms of members will expire
soon creating additional vacancies on this Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board has provided the Board of County
Commissioners with its recommendations for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Valaree D. Maxwell is hereby reappointed to the Collier County Hispanic Affairs
Advisory Board for a four year term, said term to expire on June 25, 2013.
2. F. William Forbes is hereby appointed to the Collier County Hispanic Affairs Advisory
Board to fulfill the remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on June 25, 2011.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote on this the 9th day of June,
2009.
