RESOLUTION NO. 90- 169
RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
ADMINISTRATOR AND THE TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS
WITH VOLUNTEER GROUPS IN THE ADOPT-A-ROAD PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida,
has an ongoing effort to reduce litter, recycle materials and provide for a
clean and healthy environment in Collier County; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of said Board to encourage volunteer
groups to provide assistance to the County by adopting a segment of a County
road and removing and recycling litter from said roadway; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for Collier County to enter into agreements
with such volunteer groups to establish a systematic, defined relationship
with such volunteer groups to effectuate a roadway litter clean-up program,
and said agreements do not involve an expenditure of County funds and
manpower beyond furnishing supplies and training to these volunteer groups.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COTTTER COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
1. The Transportation Services Administrator and the Transportation
Director are hereby appointed and authorized to execute the documents
aforesaid for and on behalf of Collier County.
2. Said officers shall execute the documents in the following manner:
