RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION REMOVING RICHARD E. BRAUN FROM
THE GOLDEN GATE ESTATES CITIZENS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
MAY 11, 1993
WHERFAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 87-48, as amended,
created the Golden Gate Estates Citizens Advisory Committee and
such ordinance provides that the members of the Committee shall be
appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Board of County
Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 87-48 provides that any member of the
Committee may be removed by a majority vote of the Board of County
Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, individUal Board members received complaints from
several parties regarding the condUct of committee member Richard
E. Braun, and the effect of such conduct on the meetings of Golden
Gate Estates Citizens Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, several individual Board members reviewed the audio
tapes of the Advisory Committee meetings in order to make an
independent evaluation of the conduct of this committee member;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined
that such conduct is not in the best interest of the Citizens
Advisory Committee or the citizens of Collier County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that RiChard E. Braun is'
hereby removed from the Golden Gate Estates Citizens Advisory
Committee and the vacancy hereby created shall be filled as soon
as Po~sible, said 'appointment to be for the remaining,uneXp~red
term.
