A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE GOVERNOR 0
STATE OF FLORIDA APPOINTMENTS TO THE CHILDR;~
SERVICES COUNCIL OF COLLIER COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners on Jul~ )1, 1990
adopted Collier County Ordinance No. 90-64 creating th~ Children's
Services Council of Collier County, pursuant to Section 125.901,
Florida statutes; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 90-64 proviies that the
Children's Services Council of Collier County shall consist of ten
(10) members with five (5) of the ten (10) members being appointed
by the Governor for terms of four years each; and
;"'HEREAS, the term of Alma cambridge expired on S'eptember J 0,
1992 and Bea Harper resigned; and
WHEREAS, currently there are two (2) vacancies amon9 the (5)
members appointed by the Governor to the Children's Services
Council of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 90-64 permits the Board of County
commissioners to submit three names for consideratiolrl by tne
Governor for each vacancy; and

WHEREAS, pUblic notice soliciting applications from
interested parties was provided by the Children's Services Council
of Collier County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the following
applicants are hereby recommended to the Governor of the state of
Florida for consideration to appoint two (2) members to serVe on
the Children's Services Council of Collier County.
Jane A. Rose - Staff Attorney-State Courts
Cherryle Thomas - Public Health Nutrition Supervisor
Charles Bush - Retired
Herdis Clair - Retired Teacher
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk is hereby d1rechcl to
mail a certified copy of this Resolution to the Governor's Office,
Appointments Director, The Capitol, Tallahassee, Florida
32399-0001.
