Resolution 2008-307 RESOLUTION 2008- 307 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE FROM THIRTEEN TO NINE MEMBERS AND TO PROVIDE DIRECTION TO THE HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO COMPLETE A HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN FOR THE RED COCKADED WOODPECKER. WHEREAS, on April 26, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2005-174 establishing the Habitat Conservation Plan Advisory Committee as an ad hoc committee; and WHEREAS, on January 24, 2006, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2006-41, that among other amendments, altered the membership of the Habitat Conservation Plan Advisory Committee from nine (9) to thirteen (13) members and provided for the extension of the existence of the Habitat Plan Advisory Committee by Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners at any time prior to the dissolution of the ad hoc committee on its own terms on September 12, 2009; and WHEREAS, the Committee has duly considered each item of this Resolution and provided the Board of County Commissioners with its recommendation for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Habitat Conservation Plan Advisory Committee membership shall be reduced from thirteen (13) to nine (9) members. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Habitat Conservation Plan Advisory Committee is hereby directed to shift the focus and direction to the sole task of completing a Habitat Conservation Plan for the red cockaded woodpecker. The Committee shall have until the currently scheduled natural termination of the Committee, September 12, 2009 to complete the Habitat Conservation Plan for the Red Cockaded Woodpecker. If the Habitat Conservation Plan Advisory Committee completes the Habitat Conservation Plan for the red cockaded woodpecker prior to September 12, 2009, it may apply to the Board of County Commissioners to extend the existence of the Committee beyond September 12,2009.
