A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE
EXPENDITURE 01" COUNTY FUNDS FOR THE 1994
AT YOUR SERVICE - COLLIER COUNTY GOVERNMENT
DAY AND FINDING AND DECLARING THAT SAID
EXPENDITURES ARE AUTHORIZED AS SERVING A
VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the Board ot County Commissioners annually
celebrates ita At Your Service - Government Day to showcase
County services to the public and to provide an opportunity tor
the public to meet County staff and become acquainted with
County services and tacilities; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 87-5 allows tor
expenditures of County -funds to enhance County employee
productivity, and to promo~e and engender good will toward
County government with!n the community, provided that the Board
ot County Commissioners adopts or has adopted an implementing
resolution setting torth the specitic purposes ot the
expenditures; and
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1994 the Board of County Commissioners
held its At Your Service - Government Day at which costs in the
. approximate amount of $1,872.92 were incurred for advertising
and promotional materials, event preparation and set-up costs
at the 1994 event; and
WHEREAS, the Collier County Clerk of Courts has conferred
with the County Attorney'. Office regarding the need for
clarification about the specific expenditures for the 1994 At
Your Service
Government Day event and whether such
expenditures are a valid public purpose, even if the
expenditure. are not covered by the exact expenditure
categories .et forth in Ordinance No. 87-5.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
The expenditure. in the approximate amount of $1,872.92
for the At Your Service - Government Day held on May 21, 1994
are hereby found by the Board to serve a valid pUblic purpose
ot informing the pUblic aa to the nature of County services,

equipaent and staff and are ratified and approved. The
apecitic expenditures ratitied and approved are advertising and
proaotional materials, event preparation and set-up costs at
the 1994 event. The Board hereby authorizes the disbursement of
approxiaately $1,872.92 to pay tor said expenditures.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority
vote favoring sa.e.
