RESOLUTION NO. 2008-261
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO REAPPOINT MEMBERS TO THE
COLLIER COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, Section 8.03.02 of the Collier County Land Development Code provides
for the appointment of nine (9) members to Collier County Planning Commission, plus a
non-voting representative from the School District; and
WHEREAS, the terms of 3 members will expire creating vacancies in Commission
Districts 2 and 5; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Donna J. Reed, representing Commission District 2, is hereby reappointed to the
Collier County Planning Commission for a three-year term, said term to expire on
October 1, 2011.
2. Bradley William Schiffer, representing Commission District 2, is hereby
reappointed to the Collier County Planning Commission for a four-year term, said term
to expire on October 1, 2012.
3. Mark P. Strain, representing Commission District 5, is hereby reappointed to the
Collier County Planning Commission for a four-year term, said term to expire on October
1, 2012.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County hereby waives the provisions of Section Seven B. of Ordinance No. 2001-55, as
amended, relating to a limitation of two consecutive terms of office, for the purpose of
reappointment of Mark P. Strain to this Committee.
