A RESOLUTION INCORPORATING THE INDUSTRIAL
LAND USE STUDY FOR COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA
INTO THE SUPPORT DOCUMENT OF THE FUTURE
LAND USE ELEllENT OF THE GROWTH HAIlAGEMENT
PLAN FOR COLLIER COUNTY.
WHEREAS, on January 10, 1989, the Board of County
commissioners of Collier County adopted the Collier County Growth
Management Plan by Ordinance Number 89-05 pursuant to Chapter 163,
Part II Florida Statutes, the Local Government Comprehensive
Planning and Land Development Regulation Act of 1985 and Rule
9J-S, Florida Administrative Code: and
WHEREAS, Policy 4.3 of the Future Land Use Element of the
Growth Management Plan calls for the development of an Industrial
Land Use Study which shall include a detailed inventory of
industrial uses, projections of demand for industrial land and
recommendations tor future land allocations and locatlonal
criteria and and that the study be coordinated with the Economic
Development Council of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Policy 4.3 of the Future Land Use Element of the
Growth Management Plan requires that the Industrial Land Use
study be incorporated into the Growth Management Plana
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COKKISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
SECTION ONE: The Board of County commissioners acknowledges the
data collection, analysis, findings and recommendations completed
as part of the Industrial Land Use Study and incorporates the
Study into Section III - support Document: Land Use Data and
Analysis of the Future Land Use Element as Appendix "F".
SECTION TWO: In order to implement the recommendations identified
in the Industrial Land Use StUdy, the County's Community
Development Services Division is herein authorized to initiate and
implement the necessary actions identified in Exhibit "A" of this
Resolution to achieve the recommendations of the StUdy.
