RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TIlE CHAIRMAN OF TIlE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS TO EXECUTE TllAT CERTAIN JOINT PARTICIPATION
AGREEMENT TERMINATION IIITII TIlE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSpORTATION CONCERNING TIlE CONSTRUCTION OF A TAXIWAY,
T-HANGAR PARKING AREA, ROAD AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS AT TIlE
DlHOKALEE AIRpORT.
1IllEREAS, Collier County and the Florida Department of
Transportation (Department) had entered into a Joint
Participation Agreement dated March 26, 1990, as modified by
the Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement dated June 25,
1992, to construct a taxiway, t-hangar parking area, road and
utility improvements at the Immokalee Airport, pursuant to the
Airport Layout Plan (ALP) of the Immokalee Airport Master Plan,
and authorized by Florida Statute 332 and Florida
Administrative Code 14-60; and
WHEREAS, Collier County and the Department have
determined that it is in their best interests to terminate the
Joint Participation Agreement and the Supplemental Joint
Participation Agreement;
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. That the Board ot County Commissioners ot Collier
County, Florida does hereby approve the Joint Participation
Agreement Termination for State Job No. 03000-3856 to terminate
the proposed construction plans for the taxiway, T-hangar
parking area, road a~,d ut.ility improvements at the Immokalee
Airport.
2. That the Chairman of the Board of County
commissioners ot Col tier County, Burt L. Saunders, is hereby
authorized to execute the attached Joint Participation
Agreement Termination with the Department.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and
majority vote.
