RESOLUTION NO. 95-~
RESOLUTION REPEALING ALL PRIOR COUNTY
COMMISSION DISTRICT BOUNDARIES AND
ESTABLISHING NEW COUNTY COMMISSION
DISTRICT BOUNDARIES IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CHAPTER 124, FLORIDA STATUTES AND
THE FLORIDA CONSTITUTION.
WHEREAS, Article VIII, Section l(e), Florida Constitution,
provides that after each decennial census the Board of
Commissioners shall divide the county into districts of contiguous
territory as nearly equal in population as practicable; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 124, Florida Statutes, requires that
commission district boundaries be as nearly equal in population as
practicable; and
WHEREAS, the County Staff was directed by the Board of County
Commissioners on December 13, 1994 to reapportion the Commi..ion
District boundaries to distribute the population among ths
commission districts as nearly equal as practicable; and
WHEREAS, the County Staff has held advertised pUblic .e.tings
on March 27, 1995 at the Community Center Meeting Room at the
Immokalee Community Park, March 28, 1995 at the Golden Gate
Community Center and March 30, 1995 at the Collier County
Commission Chambers to receive comments from the public and
encourage public participation in the redistricting process; and
WHEREAS, advertised public notice has been provided regarding
the redistricting of the County Commission district boundaries.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1) Pursuant to the authority of Chapter 124, Florida
Statutes, and Article VIII, Section l(e), Florida Constitution,
all prior County Commission District boundariss in Collier county
as adopted by Resolution No. 91-740 and Resolution No. 91-753 are
hereby repealed and the new boundaries are hereby 8stabl1.he4to
encompass the areas described below:
COMMISSION DISTRICT 1
Begin at the intersection of the easterly shoreline of the CUlt ot
Mexico and the north line of Section 34, TownShip 50 South, Rang.

25 Eaet, Collier County, Florida; thence along the north line ot
said Section 34 (also being the south boundary of the city of
Naples) easterly to the center of Dollar Bay; thence along the
center of Dollar Bay, southeasterly to the center of the Lely
OUtfall Canal; thence along the center of the Lely Outfall Canal,
northeasterly to the center of Highway U.s. 41; thence along the
center ot said highway, northwesterly to the center of
Airport-Pulling Road, thence northerly along the center of said
road to the center of Davis Boulevard; thence along the center of
Davis Boulevard, easterly to the center of County Road 951; thence
along the center of County Road 951, southerly to Highway O.S. 41;
thence along the center of state Road 951, southerly to the center
ot Manatee Road; thence easterly along said road to the center of
Highway U.s. 41; thence southeasterly along said highway to the
center of County Road 92; thence southwesterly along said road to
the center of the Marco River; thence along the center of Marco
River, easterly and southerly to a point that is 3,500 feet south
of the Coon Key Light; thence southwesterly to the southernmost
point of Cape Romano; thence along the easterly shoreline of the
Gult of Mexico, northwesterly to the Point of Beginning_
COMMISSION DISTRICT 2
Begin at the intersection of the easterly shoreline of the Gulf of
Mexico and the north section line of Section 6, Township 48 South,
Range 25 East, Collier County, Florida; thence along the north
line of Sections 6 and 5 of said Township and Range (also being
the Lee County-Collier County boundary line) easterly to the
northeast corner of said section 5; thence along the east line ot
said Section 5, southerly to the northwest corner of Section 9 ot
said Township and Range; thence along the northerly boundary of
Collier County, easterly to the center of the Florida POWer and
Light (FPL) transmission line; thence along said center of the FPL
transmission line, southerly 10,000 reet more or less to e
drainage creek which is the northeasterly extension of Pal. RiVer;
thence along said drainage creek and various conservation and
drainage easements located along the northern boundary of Falcon

Ridge Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 24, Pages 53 and 59 of
the Public Records ot Collier County, Florida, southwesterly 5,500
feet more or less to a drainage ditch lying along the east
boundary of Palm River Subdivision; thence along said ,1rainaq8
ditch, southerly 3,000 feet more or less to the inters~ction of
Immokalee Road (C.R. 846); thence along the center of Immokalse
Road, westerly to the intersection of Immokalee Road and Airport-
Pulling Road; thence along the center of Airport-Pulling Road,

the westerly prolongation of the Collier County-Monroe County
boundary line, thence easterly along the Collier County-Monroe
County line to the intersection with the Dade County boundary

northerly to the intersection with the Broward County boundary
line; thence along the Collier County-Broward County boundary
line, northerly to the intersection with the Hendry County
boundary line; thence along the Collier County-Hendry County
boundary line, westerly to the point where said boundary lins
turns and goes north; thence continue along said boundary line,

northern boundary of Falcon Ridge Subdivision as recorded in Pl.~
Book 24, Pages 58 and 59 of the Public Records of Collier County,
Florida, southwesterly 5,500 feet more or less to a drainag_ ditch
lying along the east boundary of Palm River Subdivision; thence
along said drainage ditch, southerly 3,000 feet more or 18.8 to
the center of Immokalee Road (C.R. 846); thence along the center
of Immokalee Road, easterly to the intersection of C.R. 951 end
the Point of Beginning.
2) Pursuant to Section 124.02, Florida statutes, the Clerk
is hereby directed to enter this Resolution upon the minute. and e
certified copy of this Resolution shall be published at least once
each week for two (2) consecutive weeks in the Naples Daily News.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority
vote.
