RESOLUTION NO. 95- --ll3
RESOLUTION APPROVING lHE AMENDED LOCAL HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PLAN AS REQUIRED BY lHE FLORIDA STATE
HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP [SHIP] PROGRAM;
APPROVING A MAXIMUM AWARD SCHEDULE;
AUTHORIZING lHE NECESSARY CERTIFICATIONS BY lHE
CHAIRMAN OF lHE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
AND AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF lHE AMENDED
LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN TO lHE FLORIDA
HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY FOR REVIEW AND APPROY AL;
AND APPROVING THE EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, enacted
Collier County ordinance No. 93-19 on April 13, 1993 establishing the Collier County Local
Housing Assistance Plan; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance was forwarded to the Florida Department of Community Affairs
for approval; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted through resolution a maximum
award schedule, a cost per unit and a maximum cost per unit for eligible housing benefiting from
awards made pursuant to the SHIP program pursuant to the William E. Sadowski Affordable
Housing Act enacted on July 7, 1992 (Section 420.907, et. seq., Florida Statutes, Chapter 91-37,
Florida Administrative Code); and
WHEREAS, the Collier County Housing and Urban Improvement Department staff
recommends the modification of the maximum award schedule to better reflect the needed
improvement for eligible housing.
NOW, lHEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that:
I. The Board of Commissioners hereby approves the Amended LocaJ Housing
Assistance Plan.
2. The maximum award schedule for SHIP Funds under the LocaJ Housing Assistance
Program, as amended, shall be $15,000 per eligible housing unit.
3. The maximum cost per unit for eligible housing benefiting from awards made
pursuant to the SHIP program shall not exceed $83,160 for existing eligible housing units and
$95,400 for newly constructed eligible housing units.
4. The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to submit the

Amended Local Housing AssisIance Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part hereof,
to the Slate of Florida Housing Finance Agency for its review and approval.
S. The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to execute the
certifications annexed to the Amended Housing Assistance Plan on behalf of the County.
6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. This Resolution
shaIJ supersede Resolution 93-1 S9 and Resolution 93-251.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote favoring same.
