RESOLUTION NO. 2008- 178
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING BRIAN
MCMAHON TO REPRESENT THE BOARD AT MEETINGS OF THE
PICAYUNE STRAND MANAGEMENT PLAN ADVISORY GROUP
DURING THOSE MEETINGS WHICH COMMISSION COLETTA
DOES NOT ATTEND.
WHEREAS, by Agreement dated September 24, 2003, by and between the Board of
Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida, the South Florida Water
Management District, and Collier County, the "Collier County Commissioner of the District in
which Picayune Strand State Forest is located will be requested to participate as a member of the
Management Plan Advisory Group.. .consistent with s. 259.032 of the Florida Statutes," which
Commissioner is Jim Coletta; and
WHEREAS, from time-to-time Commissioner Coletta will be unable to attend these
meetings; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has deemed it in the best interests of the
citizens of Collier County that a representative of the Board attend such meetings in Commissioner
Coletta's absence; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brian McMahon has in the past demonstrated outstanding knowledge of
and interest in the issues that are before this Management Plan Advisory Group.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: Brian McMahon is hereby
designated to attend the meetings of the Management Plan Advisory Group on behalf of the Board
on those occasions when Commissioner Coletta is not in attendance.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote favoring same, this
