RESOLUTION NO. 2008-225
WHEREAS, the Collier County Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals ("Building Board")
is governed by Section 8.05.01 of the Land Development Code (LDC); and
WHEREAS, LDC Section 8.05.03 provides that the Building Board shall be composed of five (5)
regular members who are engaged in specific occupations, and who, by reason of education,
experience, and knowledge are deemed to be competent to review matters concerning the Florida
Building Code and the Florida Fire Prevention Code; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy and the terms of two (2) members will expire on the
Building Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting
applications from interested parties.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING AARON R. HOKANSON
AND REAPPOINTING KENNETH R. RECH TO THE COLLIER COUNTY
BUILDING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
I. Aaron R. Hokanson meets the prerequisites for appointment and is hereby appointed under the
category of Plumbing Contractor to the Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals to fulfill the
remainder of a vacant term plus an additional four-year term, said term to expire on August 9, 2012.
2. Kenneth R. Rech meets the prerequisites for appointment and is hereby reappointed under the
category of Structural Engineer to the Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals for a four-year
term, said term to expire on August 9, 20]2.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote favoring same, this 22nd
day ofJuly, 2OQ8.
