RESOLUTION NO. 96- 494 ~ RESOLUTION AFFIRMING AS OFFICIAL ~LL EXISTING AND HEREINAFTER POSTED SIGNS THAT REGUL~TE STOPPIlIG, BT~DING, OR PARXING OF VEHICLES ~T TilE COLLIER COUNTY GOVERNMENT COMPLEX. WHEREAS, Section 130-66(2) (i) of the Collier County Code of Laws and ordinances provides that no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle at any place where official signs prohibit or restrict parking, or in excess of the time period specified by the respective sign; and ~EREAS, the Board of County commissioners desires to remove any ambiguity whether such signs at the Government Complex (3301 Tamiami Trail East) are "official" within the context of Section 130-66(2) (i) of the County Code, the same being a codification of County Ordinance No. 80-47, as amended; and WHERE~B, this Resolution is adopted pursuant to Section l30-34(b) of the Collier County Code as an expression of the Board's policy regarding the subject signs at the Government Complex. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: 1. a part County All signs listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made hereof are hereby affirmed as "official" signs of Collier within Chapter 130 of the Collier County Code. 2. All signs that prohibit or regulate parking, standing, or stopping of vehicles hereafter installed by the County at the Government Complex shall upon posting automatically become "official" signs without further authorization from the Hoard. 3. Violation of any such official sign now existing or hereinafter posted will be subject to the applicable fines as then specified by Collier County Ordinance. 4. As used herein the word "posted" refers to any sign that is on a sign post, is a wall sign, is painted on any road or other ground level surface, or is affixed by any other means whatsoever.
