RESOLUTION NO. 96- ~
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A HIGHWAY
MOWING MAINTENANCE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS. the Collier County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) Is concemed over
the appearance of median islands. interchange areas, and rights-of-way within the limits of Collier
County; and
WHEREAS. the Collier County BCC, altar discussion with the State of Florida Department
of Transportation (FOOT), believes that it can assist In mowing those areas; and
WHEREAS, the FDOT has agreed to provide funds in the amount of $3,792.00 per quarter
for a lotal sum of $15,168.00 per year for a periOd of one (1) year for Collier County to mow said
median Islands, interchange areas, and rights-aI-way; and
WHEREAS. the Collier County BCC believes such an Agreement to be in the best interest
of the ciUzens of Collier County; and
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT;
SECTION 1; The BCC does hereby authorize its Chairman to execute an Agreement enUUed.
"Highway Mowing Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement: between Collier County and the
FDOT. agreeing 10 mow median islands, interchange areas, end rights-of-way described in said
Agreement in exchange for the payment of $15,168.00 per year payable at the rate of $3.792.00
per quarter, for a period of one (1) year.
SECTION 2; This Resolution supersedes Resolution No. 92-278
SECTION 3; This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
SECTION 4; All Res~luUons and parts 01 Resolutions in connict herewith are repealed.
