A RESOLUTION APPROVING TIlE EXPENDITIJRE OF FUNDS FOR A
PICNlC TO RECOGNIZE COLLIER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS EMPLOYEES PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF
COLLIER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 87.5 WHICH ESTABLISHED
THAT PERSONNEL RELATED EXPENDITURES ARE VALID AND
PROPER FOR COUNTY PURPOSES

WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 87.5 states that the Board of County
Commissioners shall adopt a Resolution authorizing the expenditure of County funds for
valid and proper purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is desirous of creating, within
Collier County government, a more productive and efficient working environment; and
WHEREAS, it is recoa:nized that the promotion and engendering of good will
toward the county is an important factor affecting the pride of county employees in their
work;

NOW, TIlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board hereby
authorizes the expenditure of funds in an amount not to exceed $2,000.00 for a picnic for
current Collier County Board of CouP~y Commissioners employees and their families for
recognition of outstanding service in connection with County employment.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
