A RESOLUTION APPOINTING, REAPPOINTING,
AND CO:">lFIRMING TIlE APPOINTMENTS OF
MEMBERS TO TIlE EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES ADVISORY COUNSEL.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 80-80 created the Emergency Medical Services
Advisory Council and provides that the Advisory Council shall be composed of eleven (11)
regular members, three (3) ex-officio members and two (2) stafT members; and
WHEREAS. the Board adopted Resolution No. 90-527 on October 30. 1990 which revised
and updated the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council's by-laws by providing that the
Advisory Council include two members At Large; and
WHEREAS, there are currently three (3) vacancies on this Council; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, letters were received from a various organizations affiliated with emergency
medical services requesting that the Board of County Commissioners confirm the appointments of
members designated by such organizations;

NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, thai:
J. Fay R. Biles. represenling Commission District J. is hereby appointed to the Emergency
Medical Services Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, said term expiring August 3 I, 1999.
2. 1. P. Gunther-Mohr, representing Commission District 2, is hereby reappointed to the
Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, said term expiring
August 31, 1999.
3. Tim Smith, representing Commission District 5, is hereby reappointed to the Emergency
Medical Services Advisory Council for a three (3) year term. said term expiring August 31. 1999.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board ofCounly Commissioners confirms the
appointments of members designated by the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, the
City of Naples, the Naples Community Hospital, and the Collier County Sheriffs Office.
This Resolution adopted af~cr motion, second and majority vote.
