A RESOLUTION APPROVING TilE EXPENDITURE OF
COUNTY fUNDS fOR PREVIOUS AND fUTURE
WASTF:WATER DEPARTMENT TF:MI BUILDING SESSIONS
AND fiNDING AND DECLARING TIIAT SAID EXPF:NDITURES

which provide the WastC\\'aLCr Department employees wilh exercise:, 011 working together
effectively, to build employee Illorale, make group decisions and the opportunity to iIHCr;Jct with

WH EREAS. Collier County Ordimmcc No. 87.5 allows for expenditures of coullty funds
to enhance County employee producti,'ity. and recognizes that the promotion and engender of
good will towaru the County is an important factor affecting the pride of eoullly employees in
Iheir work. provided Ihllt the Board of County Commissioners adopts or has Jdopted an
implementing resolution setting forth the specific purposes oflhe expenditures; and
IVH EREAS, on 4/2/98, 8/26/98, and 8/28/98, the Wastewater Department held leam
building sessions at which costs:n the amount of5109.03 were incurred for pizza, soou. coffee.
donuts and juice; and
WHEREAS. the Wastewater Department shall in the future hold team huilding sessions
at which c:\penuitun:s for coffee. juice. sodl.l. dOlluts, pizza. sandwiches. pOlato chips and cookies
shall be incurred.
:\OIV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
CO.vIMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY. FLORIDA. that:
1. The expenditures in the alllount of5109.03 for Wastewater Department
leam building sessions hekl on 4/3/98. 8/26/98 and 8/28/98 are hereby found by
the Board to serve a valid and proper County purpose and are rati tied <lnd
approved. The specific expenditures rulified and approved arc pizza. soJa. donuls
;lIldjuice.

2. The Board further finds that for future Wastewater Department team building
sessions expenditures for pizza. soda. coffee, donuts. sandwiches. potato chips
ond cooki.::s serve a valid and proper County purpose of promoting and
engendering goodwill toward County Government and increasing productivity
within the Wastewater Department and for those reasons arc approved for future
\Vastc\vatcr Department team building sessions. The Board hereby JUlhorizcs
disbursement of moneys to pay for said expenditures. Maximum expenditure per
fiscal year ofS 1.000.00 or less.
