WIIEREAS, provision of said lure lanes is necessary to assure both the safety
and capacity of each such affected roadv.'ay; and
WilEREAS, engineering review performed by the County's Tr:~nsportation
Services Department has determined that the final paved surface must be placed over the
entire full width of the affected section of roadway to assure minimization of long-term
maintenance costs and safe operation of Ihe section of roadway.

eOM,MISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORII)A, that:
A fidl-width overlay of all roadways that have new turn lanes added shall be
required from the point of beginning of thc end taper from one end of thc roadway
section to the other. Each such overlay must have a minimum thickness of one
inch and must be tapered al each end so as to form a smooth riding surface.
Thc Transportation Services Department is hereby authorized to review all plans
for such Itl/n lanes and provide reply comments Io the respective applicant(s).
Pcmfits for such construction are to be issued by thc L:nginccring Review Section
of the Planning Services Department of the Community Development Division.
These provisions should be proposed to bo inserted into Ordinance No. 96-84 tho
next time that Ordinance is amended.
This RESOLUTION adopted after motion, second and majority vote favoring same.
