A RESOLUTION ENACI'ED PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF COLLIER COUNTY ORDIANCE 83-7, WHICH ESTABLISHED A SYSTEM OF PERSONNEL ADMINISTRA nON FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 83-7 states that the Board of County Commissioners shall adopt rules and regulations which provide classification of all positions based on duties, authority, and responsibility of each position; and WHEREAS, Collier County Resolution No. 93-416 which adopted the current Comer County Personnel Rules and Regulations, provides in Section 0210 ( C ) (I) that amendmenu to the Pay Plan shall be considered by the Human Resources Director when changes of responsibilities of work or c1as.... living costs, availability of labor supply, prevailing rates of pay, the County's financial condition and policies, or other pertinent economic considerations warrant such action. Said section further provides that amendments must be recommended to the Board of County Commissioners by Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 96-122 approving the 1995-96 Pay Plan; and WHEREAS, the County Manager recommends that the position of Senior Mechanic be added to the 1995-96 Pay Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY lHE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the present County Pay Plan as set forth in and adopted by Resolution No. 96-122 is hereby amended to approve the addition of the position of Senior Mechanic at pay grade 13, resulting from the reorganization of the Support Services. Division. The classification specification for this new position is attached hereto as Exhibit . SOPERVISION RECEIVED ~ EXERCISED Receives general Exercises limited Supervisor. BZAMPLB OJ' DU'l'IES - Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: supervision supervision fora the Shop supervisor. in the absence of the Shop Maintain, inspect, repair and replace worn or broken equipment and vehicle parts. Perform repair work in complete hydraulic systems. Perform minor and major repairs of gasoline and diesel engines. Repair and replace transmission, rear end and front end rebuild and alignment. Maintain and repair electric, hydraulic and air brake systems. Answer road calls for service on county Vehicles. Assist other mechanics on problems and or projects. Assist supervision with minor administrative duties. Perform related duties as assigned. OOALIJ'ICATIONS Jtnovledqe of: Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
