A RESOLUTION ORDERING AND CALLING A REFERENDUM
ELECTION TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 3, 1996 IN THE
NORTH NAPLES FIRE CONTROL AND RESCUE DISTRICT
AND IN THE AREA DESCRIBED AS SECTIONS 10,
11,12,13,14,15, 22, 23 AND 24, TOWNSHIP 48
SOUTH, RANGE 26 EAST TO DETERMINE IF THE
QUALIFIED ELECTORS RESIDING IN THE NORTH NAPLES
FIRE CONTRoL AND RESCUE DISTRICT AND THE
QUALIFIED ELECToRS RESIDING IN SECTIONS 10, 11,
12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 AND 24, TOWNSHIP 48
SOUTH, RANGE 26 EAST APPROVE EXPANDING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE NORTH NAPLES FIRE CONTROL AND
RESCUE DISTRICT TO INCLUDE ALL THE LANDS IN
SECTIONS 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 AND 24,
TOWNSHIP 48 SOUTH, RANGE 26 EAST AS PROVIDED IN
HOUSE BILL 2085, AMENDING CHAPTER 84-416, LAWS
OF FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature during the 1996 Legislative
Session adopted House Bill 2085 Which amends Section 1, ArtiGle
III of Chapter 84-416, Laws of Florida, as amended, to expand the
boundaries of the North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District to
include all the lands within Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22,
23 and 24, Township 48 South, Range 26 East; and
WHEREAS, House Bill 2085, states that the Bill shall take
effect only upon an affirmative majority vote of the qualified
electors residing in the North Naples Fire Control and Rescue
District and the qualified electors residing in Sections 10, 11,
12,13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24, Township 48 South, Range 26 East,
voting in a referendum to be held by the Board of County
Commissioners of Collier County in conjunction with the next
primary, general, special, or other election to be held in the
described area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
SECTION ONE. REPERENDllH ELECTION CALLED
A referendum election be and is hereby ordered and called to
be held on September 3, 1996 for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electore residing in the North Naples Fire Control and
Rescue District the following question:
Do you approve House Bill 2085 which amends Chapter
84-416, Laws of Florida, as amended, to extend the

boundaries of the North Naples Fire Control and
Rescue District to include all the lands lying within
Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24,
Township 48 South, Range 26 East?
A referendum election be and is hereby ordered and called to
be held on September 3, 1996 for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electore residing within Sections 10, 11, 12. 13, 14,
15, 22, 23 and 24, Township 48 South, Range 26 East the following
question:
Do you approve House Bill 2085 which amends Chapter

Township 48 South, Range 26 East?
SECTION TWo. PERSONS ENTITLED TO VOTE
The persons entitled to vote in the referendum election shall
be all the qualified electors residil1g within the North Naples
Fire control and Rescue District, as described in House bill 2085,
and all the qualified electors residing within Sections 10, 11,
12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24, Township 48 South, Range 26 East,
Collier County, Florida.
SECTION THREE. POLLING PLACES. ELECTION OPPICIALS AND BOURS OP
ELECTION
The election shall be held at the pOlling placee designated
in each precinct in the North Naples Fire Control and Rescue
District and within Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and
24, Township 48 south, Range 26 East. The election shall be
conducted by election officials appointed by the Supervisor of
Election pursuant to applicable general law. The polls shall be
open at the voting places from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on the day
of the election.

A) The ballot to be used in said election shall be in
subetantially the following form:

Do you approve House Bill 2085, which amends Chapter 84-416,
Laws ot Florida, as amended, to extend the boundaries of the
North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District to include all
the lands within Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and
24, Township 48 South, Range 26 East?
B) The Supervisor of Elections shall include on all ballots
and absentee ballots such instructions to voters as are necessary
and required pursuant to general law.
SBCTION PIVIl. NOTICB OP BLECTION
The Clerk of this board shall publish a notice of the
referendum election in the Naples Dally News, a newspaper of
general circulation pUblished in Collier County, Florida. There
shall be at least thirty (30) days notice of said election, with
pUblication to be made at least twice, once in the fifth wee~ and
once in the third week prior to the week in which the referendwQ
is to be held. Said notice shall be in sUbstantially the
following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a referendum election will be
held on September 3, 1996, in the North Naples Fire Control and
Rescue District and within Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23
and 24, Township 48 South, Range 26 East to determine if the
qualified electors residing within the North Naples Fire Control
and Rescue Oistrict approve House Bill 2085, which amends Chapter
84-416, Laws of Florida, as amended, to expand the boundaries of
the North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District to include all
the lands within Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24,
Township 48 South, Range 26. Further, a simultaneous referendum
election will be held on September 3, 1996, within Sections 10,
11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24, Township 48 South, Range 26
East, to determine if the qualified electors residing within
Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24, Township 48 South,
Range 26 East, approve House Bill 2085, which amends Chapter
84-416, Laws of Florida as amended, to be included in the North
Naples Fire Control and Rescue District.

The polls will be open at the polling places on the date Of
said referendum election from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 p.M. on the day of
the election. All qualified electors residing within the North
Naples Fire Control and Rescue District and within sections 10,
11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 and 24, Township 48 South, Range 26
East may vote in said referendum election. Absentee voting may be
permitted upon compliance with applicable provisions of state law.
