A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, EX-OFFICIO THE GOVERNING BOARD OF
THE COLLIER COUNTY WATER-SEWER DISTRICT,
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATOR TO
APPLY FOR THE SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT
DISTRICT'S FY97 ALTERNATIVE WATER SUPPLY GRANT
WHEREAS, the South Florida Water Manaqement District haa
implemented an initiative to provide cooperative tinancial and
technical asslstance for water supply projects within Water
Resource caution Areas; and
l~EREAS, the South Florida Water Management District has
est~blished a formal solicitation process for evaluation pro~cts;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, Ex-otticio the Governinq Board ot the Collier County
Water-Sewer District, haa expreesed that effluent reuse would be
its first preference as a means of effluent disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County commissioners, Ex-Officio the
Governing Board of the Collier County Water-Sewer District, wishes
to authorize the Public works Administrator to apply for
alternative water supply grants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, EX-Q~ICIO THE GOVERNING
BOARD OF THE COLLIER COUNTY WATER-SEWER DISTRICT, that:
SECTlO. ORB. The Board ot County Commissioners, EX-Officio
the Governinq Board ot the Collier County Water-Sewer District,
hereby authorizes the Public Works Administrator to apply to the
South Florida Water Manaqement District for an Alternative Water
Supply Grant.
SZCTIOH TWO. The Clerk of Court., Ex-Officio the Clerk to
the Board and the District, is hereby directed to send certified
copies of this Resolution to the South Florida Water Management
District and all other persons as directed by the Board of County
