RESOLUTION NO. 96- -62
RESOLUTION APPROVING TIlE AMENDED LOCAL HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PLAN AS REQUIRED BY TIlE FLORIDA STATE
HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP [SHIP] PROGRAM; WInCH
AUTHORIZES TIlE TRANSFER OF $225,000 ALLOCATED FOR
RENTAL IMPACT FEE WAIVERS TO TIlE COLLIER COUNTY SHIP
DOWN PA YMENT/CLOSING COST ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR
FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS; AND AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION
OF TIlE AMENDED LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN TO TIlE
FLORIDA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY FOR REVIEW AND
APPROVAL; AND APPROVING TIlE EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, enacted
Collier County Ordinance No. 93-19 on April 13, 1993 establishing the Collier County Loca1
Housing Assistance Plan; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance was forwarded to the Florida Department of Community
AfIBirs for approval; and
WHEREAS, the LocaJ Housing Assistance Plan established strategies and policy
guidelines for the administration of funds received through Collier County's participation in the
State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP); and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance N". 94 _ 59
on November 8. 1994, implementing the Collier County SHIP Down Payment/Closin!> Cost
Assistance Program for First Time Homebuyers; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners Adopted Ordinance 95 _ 32, which
permits amendments to the Loca1 Housing Assistance Plan by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Collier County Housing and Urban Improvement Department staff
recommends additional funding in the amount of $225,000 to insure continuance of the Collier
County SHIP Down Payment/Closing Cost Assistance Program.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissionera of Comer
County, Florida :
