RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 50

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMl1ISSIONERS
PROVIDING FOR ASSESSMENT OF LIEN, FOR THE COST OF
THE ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCE, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ORDINANCE 91-~7.
WHEREAS, as provi.ded in Ordinanc~ 91-17, the direct costs of
abatement of certain nuisances, including prescrihed administrative
cost incurred by the County, shall be assesse~ against such property;
and
WHEREAS, the cost thereof to the County ,18 to each parcel shall be
calculated and reported to the Boar~ of County Commissioners, together
with a description of said parcel; and
WHEREAS, such assess~ent shrtll be a legul, valid and binding
obligation upon the property against which made until paid; and
WHEREAS, the assessment sha: 1 b"'~oC1e due and payable thirty (30)
days after the mailing of Hatic,:: of /\SS~8sm~n::: after .....hi::h interest
shall accrue at a rate of twel'le p~rcent (12.0\) per ann~m on any
unpaid portion thereof.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOt.PD OF CarmY':
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the property described
as follows, and having been abated of a public nuisance ufter due and
proper notice thereof tc the own~r 0f R3id property, is hereby assessed
the following costs of such abatement, to wit:

The Clerk of the Board shall mail a notice of assessment of lien
to the O~TIer or owners of the above described property, and if such
owner fails to pay sUer, assessment '"ithin thir~y (30) days hereof, a
certified copy of this Resolution shall be recorded in the official
records of Collier County, to constitute a lien against such property
according to law, unless such direc~i.on is atayed by this Board upon
appeal of the assessment of the owner.
