RESOLUTION NO. 89- 210
PETITION CCCL-S9-5C; ANCHOR ENGINEERING,
REPRESENTING SEAWINDS OF MARCO CONDOMINIUM
ASSOCIATION, REQUESTING A VARIANCE FROM
THE COASTAL CONSTRUCTION CONTROL LINE
(CCCL) TO ALLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN
ELEVATED DUNE WALKOVER AT THE SEAWINDS OF
MARCO CONDOMINIUM.
WHEREAS, the petitioner requests a variance tram the
coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL) to allow tor the
construction of an elevated dune walkover and removal ot en
existing dune walkover at the Seawinds of Marco Condominium
(R26E, T52S, 519): and
WHEREAS, petitioner requests a variance from the CCCL to
remove an existing, non-compliance dune walkover and to
construct a new, elevated dune walkover; and
WHEREAS, the existing structure is built at grade and is
not in compliance with County and Florida Department ot
Natural
Res,",urces (FOUR) regulations.
In addition, the
existing dune walkover crossss the south property line with
the stairs actually being located in the property adjacently
south of the Seawinds Condominium; and

WHEREAS, petitioner proposes to rectify the situation by
removing the existing walkover and building an elevated
walkover approximately fifteen feet north of the existing
walkover in an area devoid of native dune vegetation; and
WHEREAS, .levated dune walkovers are recognized aa the
best method for minimizing impact to the dune system while
still allowing access to the beach.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COllNTY
COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that variance
petition CCCL-89-SC is approved subject to the following
conditions:
1. The elevated dune walkover shall be designed and
constructed according to the standards of the Florida
Department of Natural Resources, Division of Beach..

shall contact the planning Services section within
