A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXPENDITIJRE
OF COUNTY FUNDS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED IN
CONJUNCTION WITH COLLIER COUNTY LffiRARY
CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, Collier County ordiIwlce 87-5 stales that the Board of County
CornmissionerJ ahaIl adopt a Resolution authorizing the expenditure of County funds for
valid and proper purposeI, and
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners is desirous of creating a
successful Children's Program within its Library Department to foster interest in libraries
and good reading habiu in the children of Collier County, and
WHEREAS, the ability of the Library staff to provide supplies, including but not
limited to finger paints, crepe paper, paper mache, crayons, balloons and play musical
instruments. Entertainment including but not limited to costume rentals, jugglers, clowns,
etc., paper goodJ and food enhances the overall qua1ity and appeal of children's library
programs, and
WHEREAS, funds for these expenditures will be available within budgets
approved by the County Commission for the Library Department and will not exceed
S15,OOO annually.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board hereby
authorizes expenditures of funds to purchase equipment, supplies, entertainment, paper
goodJ and food aSlOciated with the Children's Programs of the Library Department.
