RESOLUTION AUmORlZINO EXPENDITIJRE OF APPROXIMA TEL Y
ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS TO PURCHASE A PLAQUE TO RECOGNIZE A
MEMORIAL TREE DONATION
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 87-5 provides that public funds may be
expended to purchase plaques to honor and identify the donors of services and property donated
to Collier County; and
WHEREAS, expenditures of Collier County funds authorized by Ordinance No. 87-5
must first be authorized by the Board of County Commissioners on a case-by-case basis; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department wishes to recognize a donation of a
memorial tree in memory of Mildred "Dink" Allen, Virginia (Dee Dee) McDowell, Alexandra
Devin and Sophia Mary Widger for the purpose of beautification of Collier County Parks and
Recreation facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has requested that thc Board of
County Commissioners authorize the expenditure of a sum of County funds not to exceed five
hundn:d dollars to purchase a plaque to recognize the donation of a memorial tree in memory of
Mildred "Dink" Allen, Virginia (Dee Dee) McDowell, Alexandra Devin and Sophia Mary
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to join wlth the Parks and

Widger; and
Recreation Department in recognizing the memory of Mildred "Dink" Allen, virginia (Dee Dee)
McDowell, Alexandra Devin and Sophia Mary Widger;
NOW TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY mE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, rnA T:
The Parks and Recreation Department is hereby authorized to expend a sum of County
funds not to exceed five hundn:d dollars ($500) to purchase a plaque in honor of the memory of
Mildred "Dink" Allen, Virginia (Dee Dee) McDowell, Alexandra Devin and Sophia Mary
Widger.
