RESOLUTION NO. 89-44
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPOSED SPECIAL
ACT CREATING THE COW SLOUGH WATER CONTROL
DISTRICT IN HENDRY AND COLLIER COUNTIES.
WHEREAS, the Cow Slouqh Water Control District is proposed
to be created and established in a portion of Collier and Hendry
counties 1 and
WHEREAS, the proposed Cow Slouqh Water cOvtrol District
would f.und and implement the financing, construction and
operation of facilities desiqned to prevent, control, abate or
correct flooding and/or other environmental problems within the
proposed District; and
WHEREAS, the proposed District would asse~s all agricultural
lands within its boundaries to fund its activi"ies at no expense
to local government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1) The proposed Special Act attached as Exhibit "A" is
hereby approved.
2) The Staff is hereby directed to send the attached
proposed Special Act to the Legislative Delegation for
consideration during the 1989 Legislative Session.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority
vote.
