RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~~ISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE COLLIER
COUNTY PEACETIME EMERGENr.y PLAN
WHEREAS, Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, sssigns to the Board of Collier
County Commissioners responsibility for disaster m1tir,ttion, preparedness,
response and recovery; and
WHEREAS, eacll county is required to develop a Peacetime Emergency Plan as
a component to the Comprehensive Emergency management ?lan; and
WHEREAS, Collier County's Peacetime Emergency Pla~ has been reviewed and
approved by the Florida State Division of Emergency Management as meeting the
criteria for such plans established by the Federal Eme~gency Management
Agency; and
WHEREAS, the plan Is intended to provide the framework for the
development of detailed operating procedures by organizations and agencies
tasked with the responsibility of protecting the public's health and safety
from the effects of technological and natural hazards.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~ISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY; that
Collier County's Peacetime Emergency Plan attached as Exhibit "An is
hereby adopted.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
