A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF COLLIER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING A $200,000 CONTRIBUTION TO
COLLIER COUNTY, THROUGH ITS BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, FOR ROADW A Y LIGHTING
IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE BAYSHORE/GATEWAY
TRIANGLE REDEVELOPMENT AREA (DAVIS
BOULEVARD) AS PART OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION LOCAL AREA PROJECT #601761.
WHEREAS, on June 13, 2000, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, through adoption of Ordinance No. 00-42, established a Community
Redevelopment Trust Fund ("Fund") pursuant to Section 163.387, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 00-42 provides that the monies to be allocated to and
deposited into the Fund shall be used to finance "community redevelopment" within the
Community Redevelopment Area and shall be administered by the Community
Redevelopment Agency of Collier County, Florida ("CRA"); and
WHEREAS, on February II, 2005, Collier County entered into a Local Agency
Program (LAP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) which
facilitated a grant for Roadway Lighting Project #601761 on State Road 84 (Davis
Boulevard) from Airport Road to US. 41; and
WHEREAS, Florida Department of Transportation Local Agency Project, Collier
County Project #601761, includes roadway lighting improvements on a portion of Davis
Boulevard within the BayshorelGateway Triangle Redevelopment Area; and
WHEREAS; the current costs to fund Project #601761 exceed the amount of the
grant provided by the February II, 2005 LAP Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Section I63.400(l)(d), Florida Statutes, allows a public body to lend,
grant, or contribute funds to a county or municipality for the purpose of aiding in the
planning, undertaking, or carrying out of community redevelopment and related activities;
and
WHEREAS, the CRA desires to contribute $200,000 to Collier County, through its
Board of County Commissioners, to assist in funding the roadway lighting improvements
within the BayshorelGateway Triangle Redevelopment Area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COLLIER COUNTY
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY that:
I. Pursuant to Section 163.400(l)(d), Florida Statutes, the CRA hereby
authorizes a contribution to Collier County, through its Board of County Commissioners, in
the amount of $200,000 for the roadway lighting improvements on Davis Boulevard, within
the Bayshore/Gateway Triangle Redevelopment Area, as part of Florida Department of
Transportation Project, Collier County Project #601761.
2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and
adoption.
