A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2007-160, KNOWN AS THE
COLLIER COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL
SERVICES FEE SCHEDULE, BY AMENDING PARAGRAPH "00" PERTAINING
TO FEES FOR REGISTRATION OF RENTAL DWELLINGS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ("Board") at the regular publicly noticed
meeting of the Board on October 9, 2007, considered Board Agenda Item 10 K pertaining to rental
registration fees; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 200 -58, Section 7, Paragraph 5, provides, in
pertinent part, that delinquent renewal of rental registrations ill result in a daily penalty as established by
resolution of the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that it is in the gove ent and public interest to amend Resolution
No. 2007-160 to reduce the fee for renewal of rental registr ons; and
WHEREAS, no other fee as set forth in Resolut~n No. 2007-160 is being amended by this
Resolution. '
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Paragraph "00" pertaining to registration of rental dwellings of Resolution No. 2007-160 is
amended as follows:
00) REGISTRATION OF RENTAL DWELLINGS
I) The fee for registration of rental dwellings is as follows:
a. Initial Registration Fee - $30.00 per prooertv
b. Annual Renewal - $20.00 per orooertv
c. Annual Late Fee $10.00 per day per prooertv UP to a maximum of$80.
d. The term "orooerty" means a Darcel with anv number of "rental units" located
thereuoon.
e. A "rental unit" is anv dwelling that is not owner occuoied, but. occuoied by
someone other than the owner for any portion of a calendar vear.
2) Rental Inspection
a. Rental Inspection - $ 200.00 per unit
b. Re-inspection Fee - $ 50.00 per re-inspection oer unit
c. Rental insoections shall not be required for rental units covered bv a Florida
Deoartment of Business and Professional Regulation ("DBPR") license. A coov of the DBPR
insoection reoort shall be orovided with the initial rental registration and all subsequent rental
renewal aoolications.
