Resolution 2007-228 RESOLUTION NO. 2007 _ 228 A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COLLIER COUNTY FLORIDA, APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO EXECUTE, A LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF PREFABRICATED PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES CROSSING THE COCOHATCHEE RIVER AND ONE OF ITS TRIBUTARIES ON THE WEST SIDE OF V ANDERBIL T DRIVE WITHIN THE EXISTING RIGHT-OF-WAY WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Collier County have previously entered into a Local Agency Program Agreement ("Agreement") with Collier County, wherein FDOT will reimburse Collier County up to the sum of $586,500 for the design and construction of two (2) prefabricated pedestrian bridges. WHEREAS, the FDOT now requests Collier County to execute a supplemental agreement with the same funding levels. The supplemental agreement is for the purpose of amending audit language in the agreement to reflect updated, revised language. WHEREAS, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners finds that it is in the public interest to construct these pedestrian bridges, and that this Supplemental Agreement is in the best interests of the citizens of Collier County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. The Board of County Commissioners approves, and authorizes its Chairman to sign, the attached Supplemental Agreement. 2. The Collier County Clerk will forward a certified copy of this Resolution to FDOT along with the Supplemental Agreement for execution by FDOT. 3.
