Resolution 2022-159S (Emergency Curfew)RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - 1, EMERGENCY CURFEW COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS, on September 25, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida (the "Board") in an emergency session adopted Proclamation/Resolution No. 2022 - 145 declaring a state of emergency for all territory within the legal boundaries of Collier County including all incorporated and unincorporated areas, which resolution has since been further extended; and WHEREAS, the aftermath of Hurricane Ian continues to present a threat to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Collier County, therefore Commissioner McDaniel, as Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, hereby adopts a daily curfew in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Coastal Collier County West and South of U.S. 41 between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. This curfew will commence 12:00 a.m. on October, 2022, and will terminate 6:00 a.m., on October 2022, unless further extended. This curfew includes but is not limited to, the prohibition of or restrictions on pedestrian and vehicular movements, standing and parking, except for the provisions of essential goods and services, such as fire, police, emergency medical services, and hospital services, including the transportation of patients, utility emergency repairs and emergency calls by physicians. Persons violating the established curfew will be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in Florida Statutes 775.082 or 775.083.
