RESOLUTION NO. 2007- 191
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING PASS-THROUGH USER FEES FOR CUSTOMERS' USE OF
PARKS AND RECREATION INTERNET REGISTRATION SERVICES
WHEREAS, on December 2, 2003 the Board of County Commissioners approved the
purchase of the CLASS software system for automated program registration and facility
rental for Parks and Recreation (Item #16D2); and
WHEREAS, currently residents are required to register for programs in person at a
Parks and Recreations site; and
WHEREAS, Active Network, the CLASS vendor, offers ability to encrypt credit card
information through its hosted payment server service meets the Internet Protocol Security
(IPSEC) standard and assumes responsibility for the integrity and security of data received
from the customer; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation will implement these payment server services,
which will allow customers to register for programs from any personal computer with Internet
access; and
WHEREAS, a per-transaction fee to cover credit card fees and security shall be
assessed at the time of purchase. The fees are to be assessed only on Internet registrations
and will not be paid by those customers who choose to continue to register for programs in
person at park sites.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the per-transaction fees are as
follows:

$500 and up 2.5 $10.00
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
