Resolution 2007-208 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-208 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO REAPPOINT MEMBERS TO THE BLACK AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County adopted Ordinance No. 91-38, as amended, creating the Black Affairs Advisory Board, and provides that the Advisory Board shall consist of nine (9) members; and WHEREAS, there are currently two (2) vacancies on this Board; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously proVided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties; and WHEREAS, the Black Affairs Advisory Board has proVided the Board of County Commissioners with its recommendations for appointment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. LaVerne C. Franklin is hereby reappointed to the Black Affairs Advisory Board for a four-year term, said term to expire on June 25, 2011. 2. Irene Williams is hereby reappointed to the Black Affairs Advisory Board for a four-year term, said term to expire on June 25, 2011. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County hereby waives the provisions of Section Seven B. of Ordinance No. 2001-55, as amended, relating to a limitation of two consecutive terms of office, for the purpose of reappointment of LaVerne C. Franklin to this Board. This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
