EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue and appropriate funding
within the County Wide Capital Projects Fund (301) in the amount of $661,020.27.
OBJECTIVE: To advance prioritized roofing, air conditioning, fire alarm / life safety, and general
building repairs and improvements projects by utilizing additional funding received from insurance
reimbursements.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Division of Facilities Management is responsible for the maintenance,
repair, capital replacement, and construction of County owned buildings and facilities. The division
prioritizes capital projects based on risk and allocates available funding to the most critical needs.
Additional funding was received from insurance reimbursements related to Hurricane Irma and other
project specific claims and exceeded budgeted revenues. Recognizing this additional revenue will enable
the division to advance work on prioritized repair and improvement projects. The following projects
received revenues over and above budgeted revenues:
Camp Keais Property (50224) $ 22,495.26
ReRoofing Project (52161) $ 18,239.37
New Air Conditioners (52162) $115,448.17
General Bldg Improve (52525) $ 16,962.53
Hurricane Irma (50154) $487,874.94
Total $661,020.27
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments totaling $661,020.27 will recognize the additional revenue
exceeding FY21 budgeted amounts and appropriate into projects within the County Wide Capital Projects
Fund (301) to advance prioritized repair and improvement projects. The allocations are shown in the
table below:
